1000 Books Before Kindergarten is a free program that promotes reading to newborns, infants, and toddlers. (Babies and toddlers; birth - Kindergarten) It encourages parent and child bonding through reading as well.
Come in and ask for a journal with information on the benefits of reading to your child! The journal will have room for the 1st 100 books you read to them. Yes, even the same books over and over! We'll add pages for you and give them a sticker for each 100 books read. When you have read them 1,000 books before kindergarten, the child will get their name on a scale of the library dragon, and receive a certificate and a gift book. Also, they can get their name and picture in the Newspaper! (must be scheduled ahead of time) Visit 1000 Books Before Kindergarten.org for more information, tips and even worksheets for your little one!
